Lee called me up yesterday about getting a double din AV centre for his car. He was interested in the KW-AVX830 and wanted to know if we had one on demo. We had one in stock so I told him to come up and I’d set it up for him.
10.00am today and Lee arrived after driving up from London! I’d put the system in the display stand and powered up yesterday so after a quick play Lee was keen to get it fitted-1 hour later he was happily heading back down to London, screen fitted and a big smile on his face:)

Keith called my shop on Monday afternoon wanting a quick boost to the sound system in his wife’s Mini Cooper S. The car was fitted as standard with Mini’s Boost Audio system, which unfortunately is pretty poor-what the “Boost” refers to is anyone’s guess!
They’d had the car for just a week and weren’t keen on changing the styling of the dashboard or filling the boot with subs and amps. Sound quality and expandability were key for Keith so we set about designing a system:
Initially Keith was going to just amp the standard speakers and fit a sub. This all changed once we discussed what I was fitting in my Cooper S, the sublime Dynaudio MD102’s and MW162’s running actively, and I was asked what would be next down the list in terms of price when compared to the Dynaudio. The DBAudio Trex 5.2c were the natural choice, they feature Silk Domed Ring Radiator Tweeters (with phase plugs) a high quality cross-over and Kevlar coned midbass using a cast basket, for improved thermal power handling and reduced basket resonance, along with Voice Coil venting amongst others. They are a truly revealing speaker set-a previous customer only noticed the difference in symbal crashes between Left and Right channels on a Michael Jackson track after fitting these speakers in his car-he’d been listening to the track for 20yrs!
For an amplifier Keith couldn’t resist the Alpine PDX4.150. This is David and Goliath combined into one tasteful and compact amplifier-David is it’s compact size, Goliath it’s massive 4x 150WRMS power output. These little monsters were designed with Sound Quality (SQ) in mind and their “Class D” design makes them incredibly efficient and in turn means they generate little so can be stowed away in cubby holes or under false floors-ideal for this install. Two of the channels are driving the Trex 5.2c and the others driving the stock 6×9s-for the time being Keith’s keen to upgrade the rear drivers too!
Subwoofer wise there was only 1 choice-the Inphase USW10. These compact self amplified subwoofers will fit anywhere and have a surprisingly high output, the separate bass remote allows them to easily be adjusted from the front of the car-just what you need with a factory stereo and no sub-out!
So here are some pics from the install-we built a false floor in the boot of the Mini to house the amp and the subwoofer. The mids needed custom brackets fabricating to mount them to the front doors and the tweeters were temporally mounted on the dash-Keith is purchasing some original BMW “A” posts with tweeter mountings built in we’ll add pictures when we do that.

Nice tidy In Phase install into a Vauxhall Corsa D at Car Audio Centre Leicester
Chris came to the store after havin a very expensive qoute by another car audio store in Leicester (not going to name and shame) off over £1000, Along came Car Audio Centre Leicester.
His aim was very simple, a nice tidy mature install to compliment his car, agreed on a design and equipment which was an In Phase XT12 and the In Phase IPA1601 2 Channel amplifier, both very subtle and alot of potential to sound the Dogs.
Trimmed in White and Black Alcantara with some hand work with L.E.D lighting the finished product was Brillant and Chris went away with a beaming smile and a quality install.
Forgot to mention he only paid £660.00 Fitted Bargin!!!!

Dension Gateway Five Lite is installed into a Porsche Caymen at Car Audio Centre Leicester
Nice easy job to Start the busy Saturday off. The Gateway Five lite are Very nice and simple things to fit and work brilliant with most cars. Pete had brought this new Porsche down to have it installed after buying it from our internet site Caraudiocentre.co.uk and had it fitted at our leicester store, the Dension Gateway Five lite is a intregrational add on unit that will work the the original Porsche System.

We had a Customer come into our store asking us to installed the JVC KW-AVX830 into his Saab 93. The JVC KW-AVX830 has loads of features such as USB and iPod Control, Detachable front panel,Built in Bluetooth, Audio/video input.

Mark came down wanting one thing Sat Nav and DVD, We talked him through a few units that we had. He settled on the Zenec ZE-NC514 for his Audi TT Sport, The Zenec had everything he needed and more, giving him an extra feature of iPod. the Zenec had a very sophisticated look to it which would suit the Audi TT dashboard a treat.
Very Pleased with his purchase and suprised of the hudge sound improvment even from the factory Bose system

Latest new from the Car Audio Centre Nottingham
Very Good Customer Came into the store and was having a look at double din AV Recievers. after deciding that he wanted the New Pioneer AVH-3200BT, He then thought why not do the whole system and add a Bit of bass. The Car Audio Centre in Nottingham had only just recieved in the new Juice D212 and decided to see what it was like, they got a bit more then a bit of bass. Very Impressed.
