This vehicle needs to be seen, a special import for our customer and something very rare on the roads over here.
Equiped with a pretty good audio system as standard this customer wanted to add navigation and DVD as well as ipod and Bluetooth.
A quick chat and he’d decided on Pioneer’s top spec AVIC-F30BT-which just left us the problem of fitting it-with no parts available in the UK this was going to be fun!
We stripped out the old unit, checked the wiring and mounting before concluding it could be down and that we’d be able to retain the functionality of the factory subwoofer and steering wheel controls
As you can see from the picture the unit looks fantastic fitted into the FJ and the customer was delighted by both the improvement in sound quality and the fact we got everything working-something he’d been told was impossible elsewhere.
To compliment this system our customer also had the Kenwood CMOS-200 reversing camera fitted-but unfortunately it is too un-obtrusive to show up on my camera!
