Alpine SPS-171A 250 Watts component speakers  The Type-S Alpine SPS-171A speakers deliver great sound at great value, and sport a stunning design. Greater linearity in the SPS-171A speaker movement makes for a more accurate and realistic sound. This dual radial magnet and coil structure deliver precise linear movement over a much greater range ensuring exceptionally faithful sound and lower distortion, even during long stroke, high volume conditions. The new Wave Guide is a unique design feature of Alpine SPS-171A that aligns the phases of the sound waves transmitted by the diaphragm, resulting in a more even and balanced distribution of the sound waves. In short, it focuses the sound and ensures greater accuracy in the sound field. Alpine SPS-171A speaker cones must be sufficiently rigid, lightweight, and free from selfgenerated sound. This ingenious new triple-layer hybrid fiber cone satisfies all those requirements. Each layer has its own characteristics, high propagation speed, rigidity, and improved resonance � while all three combine to create exceptionally natural, true-to-life sound To ensure that frequency bands are properly routed for optimum speaker performance, the Type-S speakers use high quality crossovers. A few of their noteworthy features include premium capacitors, adjustable tweeter level and gold plated wire terminals, all of which result in seamless, accurate sound. The SPS-171A comes with a custom-fit adaptor/spacer that allows upsizing/downsizing of both screw hole patterns and cut-out diameter for easy factory speaker replacement in a wide range of vehicles.
