Clarion CMD6 marine CD receiver key features
This is a ‘proper’ marine CD player, designed to brave the worst that the sea, wind and rain can throw at it. The waterproofed oversized front panel drops down to reveal the CD slot and, when back in place, is sealed with a reassuring click and a thick rubber gasket.
Behind the mounting panel, a drip shield protects the chassis and internal components are marinised to protect them against salty air.
Naturally, you can play music from your iPod or iPhone via the rear USB cable, which can be brought out through the mounting panel or maybe fed into a nearby locker and connected to the white lead that came with your iDevice.
A 4x50w amplifier is built in, and there are front, rear and subwoofer RCA pre-outs, with 2 additional pre-outs, should you feel the need to shake the marina.
