Built-in Bluetooth hands-free

Clarion CX609E comes with built-in bluetooth for wireless connection with mobile phones, PDAs and MP3 Players. Supports Bluetooth profiles A2DP/AVRCP for audio streaming and HFP/OPP for hands-free operation, so you can easily communicate and transfer digital music to your vehicle’s audio system. A wired microphone is also supplied.

Beat EQ with parametric equalisation

In addition to providing 3 preset equalisation patterns. Clarion CX609E provides Beat EQ even lets you freely customise the level and range of the bass, midrange and treble portions of each pattern with a 3-band parametric equaliser.

BBE MP (Minimised Polynomial Non-Linear Saturation)

By restoring the harmonics that are lost during digital compression of MP3 and WMA audio files, BBE MP reproduces the warmth, details and nuances of the sound that you would otherwise miss. Effective for digital audio files and CDs.

Rear USB for direct iPod control

Just connect the USB cable that’s included with your iPod to the rear USB input to control your iPod from the main unit. The Clarion CX609E then enables convenient genre/ album/ song title search using the iPod’s control wheel.

Its an OK unit but really that's about it. Getting to the address book (which only holds 100 numbers) needs multiple button presses, not really very user friendly. I had to contact Clarion directly as the instruction booklet is very poor, and its step by step guide to pairing a phone is missing some vital instructions. The very helpful guy at Clarion admitted the instructions were poor and that they had another crib sheet that they could send me which improves on the instructions. This unit doesn't include a cage - why on earth not? Its only acceptable for it not to come with a cage if its advertised as such, which it isn't. Even after repeated calls to Car Audio Centre and the promise that one would be sent, nearly two weeks later I am still waiting. Sourced one from a local Car Audio Company in the end just to get the job done. Frustrating experience and one I wont be repeating in a hurry.

The factory fitted unit in my corsa was lacking .Read the reviews about this unit (11 people cant be wrong),so got one fitted at the northwood store.Far superior sound to the original unit.Looks great and there is a range of colour illumination to match the dash lighting. The only draw back is setting the unit up to your own liking is a bit of a mission but once youve played about with it a bit(the clarion that is),its not so bad.Thanks Owen and co for your service.

i'm the fitter at the manchester store i've fitted alot of these stereos in a number of different cars, the first thing i think is great is the price, for what you get it really is great value for money, the usb loads up very quickly, the bluetooth works brilliantly you can hear people very clearly even on motorways, the sound quality from the stereo itself is fantastic i could hear a vast improvment in sound quality after fitting it, the multicolour display is a great extra for the stereo you can choose from a variety of colours and for the girly girls their is a large choice of pinks and purples aswell great stereo with plenty extras and great value for money in my opinion
