The KFC 6982ie 5-way 6"x9" speakers feature mica-injected, fiber-texture woofer cones that reproduce the lower frequencies precisely, with urethane surrounds that shrug off the effects of heat and humdity.

Kenwood's Image Enhancer does a great job of banishing fuzziness in the mids and highs. A specially designed oval ring surrounds each midrange driver and tweeter to prevent reflected interference, resulting in smoother vocals, wider "sweet spot" dispersion, and less distortion.
