Brought this in a Web Offer "Sale" from another "Deals" site - Not Car Audio Centre - when it arrived I was surprised and a little cautious to find that it was a Refurb unit - which would have been nice to know up-front - but then again it was cheap. However,..... It does what it says on the box. Simple installation - although a warning to Mercedes drivers - it is a bit of a tight squeeze for the centre consol Aux Power point but it does fit - with the draw open. Having said that - Plug in, Set a frequency on the radio, Pair to phone, make and Receive Calls - simplicity in itself. Unlike the Merc' bespoke Bluetooth "kit" you can take this one with you and use in another car! What more can I say - Brilliant gadget, does the job, 100% Recommended ! Final point on Delivery - There isn't a review option to say "Quicker than expected!". I ordered this on a Sunday and it was delivered Monday Morning !

I am not sufficiently knowledgeable to be able to make a balanced evaluation of these speakers against other makes but i can confirm the SUPERB sound quality Perhaps the only criticism i would have is the exquisite (excess) packaging ) ,bits of special plastic protection /individual cloth bags etc /the unnecessary chrome finish on the magnets the flashing lights in the crossovers etc..

rating: review by: phil	i'm one of the fitters at the manchester store i have a set of these in the front of my car along with the 2way trex 6.1 in the back doors i have them all amplified by an ipa2041 amplifier ((fantastic amp)) they just sound awsome the clarity and quality is there but at the same time i can crank the volume up and really get my music blasting, along with the trex sub in a car you can get a fantastic system and for the cost of the speakers and amp i don't think you can get much better for your money

rating: review by: Simon	Recently installed two pairs of t-Rex components into the front door of my focus, believe the reviews you read here because these speakers are simply amazing! they deliver a richness and detail like nothing else I ever heard, my music has never sounded this good before. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend these speakers to a friend, they really are very very good indeed. a big thank you to Greg from Birmingham store for his excellent, friendly advice. only problem is that I love my car too much now and can't stop driving! also they did a damn good job on the install, I am a very happy customer indeed, well done C.A.C for making my car sound truly incredible.

Like other reviewers I was dubious about a brand I'd not heard of before but but upon reading the reviews here and on http://carspeakerreviews.co.uk/http:/carspeakerreviews.co.uk/db-audio-t-rex-6-1-speaker-review/ I was impressed enough to give the Birmingham store a call and see if I could have a listen before I purchased, the chap on the phone said he had some on demo and to come down with some familiar CDs. I've had all the top brands and am always keen to try something new, in recent years I've had difficulty finding anything with a smooth top end with warm delivery of the midrange and at a price I can afford (wife and ankle biters eating all my funds, Dynaudio and Morel are two of my all time faves-big £, DLS and Pioneer PRS close behind, still big £)so I had my fingers crossed and headed down. Upon arriving at the store I enquired about speakers and Craig quickly began asking me about what I liked, rather then just recommending on price point as so many do. After establishing what I'd liked in the past he suggested I go for the Dynaudios I wished I could afford and after I explained I couldn't stretch the budget that far he said I should listen to the DB Audio and asked what music I was familiar with to see if he had anything. I then produced my collection of CDs and we headed over to the demo stand where he basically left me to it for 5-10mins before coming over and asking what I thought and giving me all the shpeel about the technologies in the speakers and why they sounded so good. The reviews on here and the carspeakerreviews site were correct, these are a 1st class sounding set of speakers and I snapped up a pair for £200 and headed back home to get them fitted. I'm running them off a 100wrms x2 Rockford Fosgate amp and they really dig deep, producing startling amounts of midbass (my only really criticism of the Dynaudios I used to own was their lack of low end punch) yet maintain their warmth and detail right to the limits of my amp-looks like I'll need to find something with some more guts. Tweeters are mounted on axis in the footwells and really shine from that position, off axis I don't think they'd work as well. Bargain of the century, not quite up to my old Dynaudios in finess, but plenty of midrange grunt and much better dynanism than their price would suggest.

rating: review by: Philip	I've been in the car audio game for a good few years now and have had all the big brands: Phoenix Gold, Rockford Fosgate, Infinity, KEF, A/D/S, DLS and more and wanted some speakers for my Civic Type R. I read all the reviews and plumbed for these-wow, I've not been so impressed with any speakers since my KEF Unicars. Build is 2nd to none, and the sound is the same. The highs are open and airy, the midbass warm and revealing-put some Diana Krall on these and sit back to be seduced by her gorgeous voice

He came back on Saturday with his vehicle singing their praises. He had a pair of Rainbow speakers before which had failed him. He was so impressed with the TRex's that he said he had to come back & personally thank me! What more can I say? You still reading this? I thought you would have pressed the green button by now!!

rating: review by: Tim	Can't believe that everyone isn't running these, I've got these fitted in the front of my MkIV Golf and the co-axes in the back. replaced some Focal Access with these and I'm blown away by the improvement; greater detail and a much smoother top end, the Focals were harsh at higher volumes and these just eat it up. I've owned Alpine, Pioneer, JBL and Infinity comps/co-axes as well-these beat them all:)
