rating: ![]() review by: Jim | The cd player itself was simple to install and the instructions which you get with it, provide you with the relevent information needed. As for sound quality and power, in my opinion you will not be disapointed. As for connecting items such as amplifiers and speakers to this head unit, this task is also very simple. I myself have connected an amplifier running 1 set of 6x9's and 1 set of components and I have to say they sound absolutely brilliant and were very easy to connect to the head unit itself. The head unit itself has a nice clean and stylish look. The menu's are easy to navigate through using the rotary wheel and you can set up the system to you own liking. One thing I will say however is that the rotary wheel can be quite sensitive, which can be slightly annoying. The SD card and USB input are good if you songs are stored on these devices and you can also use the search facility which is good considering you can store thousands of songs on SD cards. The USB input is also suppose to support the IPOD and you are suppose to be able to play you IPOD through the head unit, whilst it charges. I personally have never managed to get this to work and it only seems to charge the IPOD and not allow it to play. This however didn't really bother me because I just used the rear AUX input to connect my IPOD. Over all then this head unit is certainly great value for money. The features which you get with it are brilliant and when you consider that similar head units sell at over £100 pound more then this one is a steal. Like I said there are some small issues with it but these are by far out-weighed by the positives of it.

rating: ![]() review by: Anonymous | This head unit is fantastic for anyones car stereo, will play classical happily or thump out R&B. I Got mine for £89.99 and it is well worth the money (same sort of thing in halfords) It had an SD/MMC card reader which it will play your mp3s from (Not WMA or AAc or any protected files) and a usb port to plug your usb flash drive / mp3 player into, It even plays songs from an ipod through the usb connector, no use for another adapter ! The stereo kicks out 60w through the amp and can play mp3s with ID3 Tag (shows artist, song...ect) It will play any copied cds as well as original ones. Has a colorful front panel display. It also has an input for mobile phone car kit and automatically mutes the stereo when the phone is in use It has an RDS tuner which displays the radio station name on the screen instead of just the frequency number and you can mess around with treble / bass and the usual stuff The front panel flips down to reveal the CD slot, which is smooth and looks fantastic, the menus are easy to navigate through and the whole system isn't a mission to use You cant beat this for this price. especially for the usb function which supports ipod, so saving you £50 or so for another adapter, the functions this provides is outstanding for the price, definitely recommended !

With all the features as listed I knew that at this price (£59.99) it was going to be a steal... Boy was I right! Hooked my Ipod up via USB and it plays fine and the head unit has a high output of power for some quality sounding music! I really like this product, but I Love the price I got it at!

rating: ![]() review by: David | Before purchasing this product I called Car Audio centre and received helpful and knowledgeable advice. Fitting, as I was advised, was extremely straightforward, the ISO connector on the loom provided with the unit, fitted straight into the plug of my Citroen Picasso. The only downside is I had to rush out and buy an adaptor for the aerial before the shops closed (Another £2.50 – sigh) or I had no radio. In the instructions there is an instruction to reverse the red and yellow wires for cars of Vauxhall and Opel origin or the memory was lost. I discovered that I had to do this for my Citroen or I had to re-tune the radio every time it switched on. On the downside, this is budget unit and has no provision for remote control from steering wheel mounted controls and no interface for the dash display on the Picasso, so all is controlled from the fascia. We are used, of course, to the radio switching itself on and off when turning on and off the ignition with the original radio. This one did not do this. If you failed to turn it off it did switch off about 2 minutes after the ignition switched off and came on when you opened the door, but this could be a quirk of the car and not the unit. The aux output I connected and drilled a hole into the glove box so it would not be seen. Connected to my Cowon mp3 player the sound, even keeping the original Picasso speakers, is very good (and loud!). But better still I connected the player to the usb socket (usb 1.1 only, but more than fast enough for music data transfer) and was happy find that I could browse folders and tracks on the head unit. The only downside here is the limitation of an 8 digit display so you cannot see all of a long folder or file name. It will scroll, but if you wait for this to happen, the display reverts to the file being played and you have to start over. Best to keep the folder names short at least. Another benefit, the Cowon happily drew charge from the usb socket so I had the best of both worlds. The Cowon accepts SD cards so I also tried them in the socket with the same result. The biggest card I have is 2 GB and this worked quite happily. I could not check to see if it will accept HDSD cards as I do not have any but 2 GB is about 40 hours of m3 audio so enough for most purposes Conclusion: This is a budget unit that offers absolutely excellent value for money and is likely to be a severe improvement over most factory fitted units. I am more than happy to recommend this head to anyone looking for a versatile unit at an acceptable price. I, for one, think it is brilliant

rating: ![]() review by: DanWells72 | This stereo really is amazing! I was looking at it for a while then decided to buy it, what a bargin! The sound quality is absolutly brilliant and is very loud too! rca outputs are very good i have connected two subs using the sub out and a third amp for speakers and cannot fault it. It even lets me connect my phone and play music from the phones hard drive, and thats through the usb! Not used the aux-in yet but expecting as higher quality as the rest of the unit. Recommended buy, cannot be faulted!
