rating:  review by: JP | This amp is an instrument of pure beauty! It gives a seriously professional sound output, driving any good sub to it's potential and beyond. As mentioned in another review, it can overheat if you rag the **** out of it. I've got mine to overheat when I've stacked stuff on the heatsink and turned the volume up near full. To be honest, overheating is not an issue. Anyone who causes it to overheat when driving has it covered or just has it on too damned loud! I'd suggest you put the gain on no more than 80-90% depending on what you're after. THIS AMP EATS CHEAPO SUBS FOR BREAKFAST, you'll need a continuous supply. I suggest a really meaty InPhase or JBL sub would be required. In summary, BUY THIS AMP. It'll run for years, regardless of how much you rag it. And generally you can get at least 50% of your money back on ebay if you decide to sell it! I've never seen one of these blow up either! On that note, it's brother's are equally well built.... even the smaller ones. | |
