rating:  review by: Dylan Blake | As in the subject these are monstrous 6x9's, the build quality is unbelievable for the money and the supplied speaker cable even has a silver positive core. Aluminium die cast construction ensures that the basket stays rigid without making the speakers any heavier than they have to be, I certainly wouldn't recommend fixing these in an un-strenghtened parcel shelf though. I have mine mounted in 12mm mdf which I have braced but these babies still manage to resonate it even under head unit power! They took a little while to get going from new, but the bass is improving with every hour played, and overall the sound is well balanced and natural for 6x9's. I am sure there is plenty more to come from these when hooked up to a decent external amp, but even under driven by a head unit these are still the best 6x9's I have heard and will no doubt reward further system upgrades. Fantastic value at this price. | |
