Brought this in a Web Offer "Sale" from another "Deals" site - Not Car Audio Centre - when it arrived I was surprised and a little cautious to find that it was a Refurb unit - which would have been nice to know up-front - but then again it was cheap. However,..... It does what it says on the box. Simple installation - although a warning to Mercedes drivers - it is a bit of a tight squeeze for the centre consol Aux Power point but it does fit - with the draw open. Having said that - Plug in, Set a frequency on the radio, Pair to phone, make and Receive Calls - simplicity in itself. Unlike the Merc' bespoke Bluetooth "kit" you can take this one with you and use in another car! What more can I say - Brilliant gadget, does the job, 100% Recommended ! Final point on Delivery - There isn't a review option to say "Quicker than expected!". I ordered this on a Sunday and it was delivered Monday Morning !

CAR AUDIO CENTRE - CONSUMER TERMS OF SALE.

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they set out the terms under which Car Audio Centre makes the products available to you ("Product Terms"). You as the customer will transact with Car Audio Centre (the Company).

Description of goods

All the products we sell are of a technical nature and it is not practical to publish detailed specifications of all the products. Although we do endeavour to be as precise as possible please note that all images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods, Full detailed specifications are available from the manufacturer's brochures or their websites and links are available upon request. The information contained in the material in this site is only for information purposes.

The material on this site does not constitute advice and you should not rely on any material on this site to make (or refrain from making) any decision or take (or refrain from taking) any action. For item compatibility our advice is always to check directly with the manufacturer in question before going ahead and placing your order.

Prices

The prices payable for the items that you order are clearly set out on the web site. All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable. The price of the items does not include the delivery charge. The standard delivery charge is £5.99 for mainland UK (£15.99 for Northern Ireland). Prices can change and we always bring you the latest prices as quickly as possible. The cost of the delivery is discounted when you place an order and should the goods be returned without any fault than the full cost of delivery will be applied.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that product specifications are correct on this website due to continual product development through research & design specifications may change without notice.

Availability

If for any reason beyond our reasonable control, we are unable to supply a particular item, we will notify you as soon as possible. Payment will be taken for out of stock products to secure stock, only if you are happy to proceed with the order and agree to wait for the product. Should you wish to cancel then you will need to send your cancellation request via email to sales@caraudiocentre.co.uk

Payment Methods

We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Maestro. On placing an order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card or bank has been provided.

Privacy

When assessing your order and managing the credit card transaction, automated decision making systems may be used. By accepting these terms you agree that when making credit decisions we may make identity searches at credit reference agencies, including electoral register information. These searches will be recorded by the credit reference agencies who may disclose that information, and the fact that a credit search was made, to other companies for the purposes of assessing the risk of giving credit, to prevent fraud and to trace debtors.

Contract

There will be no contract of any kind between you and us until payment for your goods is authorised by your bank or credit card issuer and has passed our relevant security checks. At any point up until then, we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. At the moment that payment for the goods is authorised, (and not before), a contract will be made between you and us. Authority for payment must be given at the time of the order. Payment for your order will be taken once stock availability has been confirmed. If for any reason the goods cannot be supplied then payment will be refunded in full. Refunds can take up to 30 days as per the Distant Selling Directive.

Any changes (such as change of delivery address, delivery time) to an order requested by customer may subject to £5 administration charge.

The contract's content will be stored. You may store the terms and readily look them up. For safety reasons your order's data are not available via internet. We keep these data in confidence according to our privacy policy.

Delivery

Next day delivery is available on all orders in Mainland UK only and must be selected as your preferred method of delivery. Orders placed on a Friday for Next Day Delivery will be delivered on the Following Monday.

Delivery of products (in stock items) will normally be made within 2-3 working days from clearance of payment or you’re selected delivery service. We will endeavour to deliver goods within the times stated online but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, we will notify you of this position and you should allow up to 14 days for dispatch of the goods. For delays of more than 14 days, you will have the right to cancel the order and we will refund any money paid by you for the goods.

On delivery our couriers will deliver the goods unopened, it is your responsibility to check you have received the correct number of items and there is no damage, (if there is you must note this on the delivery and call us immediately) if everything is correct then you will be required to sign a Proof of Delivery which shall be conclusive evidence that you have received your order.

You agree to check the goods on receipt and inform us of any obvious external cosmetic damage following inspection of the goods. If there is any obvious cosmetic external damage to the goods at the time of delivery then you agree to note these on the delivery paperwork or refuse the delivery.

Where any obvious cosmetic external damage has been noted on your Proof of Delivery this shall not affect your statutory rights. Please refer to our Returns section for information on Non Faulty and Faulty Goods.

Subject to the other provisions of these conditions we shall only be liable for any foreseeable consequence to both of us at the time you make the relevant order. Our liability shall not in any event include pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and similar loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the goods.

We cannot be held responsible for delays from delivery services, adverse weather, human error or technological errors.

Special promotions have variable delivery times based the products/promotions and can take up-to 2 months.

Cancellation

Once you have placed your order it is not always possible to cancel it as we use automated systems that run during times when the business is closed. Should you wish to cancel your order then you need to email us at cancel@caraudiocentre.co.uk. If such cancellation is not possible we will notify you via email in the form of a reply to your original cancellation email advising you is your request is possible.

We DO NOT accept cancellations over the phone.

If it is not possible to cancel the order you must accept the delivery and arrange the return of the item as an unwanted item via our returns website www.caraudioreturns.co.uk or by emailing us at ask@caraudioreturns.co.uk.

Rejecting the good at the door will result in extra charges delivery has been charged one way and not return.

Returns

Non Faulty Goods

If you decide to return your goods to us we do reserve the right to charge you £29.99 for collection. Refunds can only be made by the same method used for purchase.

If for any reason you need to return an item within 7 working days of receiving delivery, register your return using our online service - http://www.caraudioreturns.co.uk or email us at ask@caraudioreturns.co.uk.

Under the terms of the distance selling directive you as the customer have a duty of care for the product whilst it is in your possession. If products are damaged by you and subsequently returned, a charge will be made to repair the product to its original condition. Please be aware that where repair is not economically viable no refund will be made. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Faulty Goods

Notwithstanding our Delivery condition above If, after the goods have been fitted, you find a fault, we reserve the right to request the following steps are complied with:

  • You provide written notice of the defect to the Company and/or telephone the Company quoting your invoice reference number within 7 days of receiving the item; and

Upon confirmation from the engineer that there is fault, and the goods do not conform to the contract, the Company shall at its option repair or replace such goods (or the defective part) or refund the price of such goods, whichever is considered to be economically viable to the Company.

Should you return an item where the fault cannot be identified you will be charged a £35.00 no fault found fee.

The Company shall not be liable for the goods if you continue to use the goods after giving such notice to the Company; or alter or repair the goods without the written consent of the Company.

We do not guarantee that the Car Audio centre web site will be compatible with all hardware and software which may be used by visitors to the site. We will not be liable for damage to, or viruses that may affect, your computer equipment, software, data or other property as the result of your access to, use of or browsing of this website or your downloading of any materials, data, text or images.

Liability

The following provisions set out the entire financial liability of the Company (including any liability for the acts or omissions of its employees, agents and sub-contractors) to you in respect of:

  • a. any breach of these conditions;
  • b. any use made or resale by you of any of the goods, or of any product incorporating any of the goods; and
  • c. any representation, statement or tortious act or omission including negligence arising under or in connection with the Contract.

All warranties, conditions and other terms implied by statute or common law (save for the conditions implied by section 12 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979) are to the fullest extent permitted by law excluded from the Contract.

Nothing in these conditions excludes or limits the liability of the Company:

  • a. for death or personal injury caused by the Company's negligence; or
  • b. under section 2(3), Consumer Protection Act 1987; or
  • c. for any matter which it would be illegal for the Company to exclude or attempt to exclude its liability; or
  • d. for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above clauses:

  • a. the Company's total liability in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty), misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise, arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of the Contract shall be limited to the Contract price; and
  • b. we will only be responsible for any losses that you suffer as a result to the extent that they are a foreseeable consequence to both of us at a the time you make the relevant order. Our liability shall not in any event include loss of profit, loss of revenue, loss of business, wasted expenditure, depletion of goodwill, and loss of privacy or any other claims which arise out of or in connection with the Contract.

General

These Product Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. If any of these Product Terms is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Product Terms which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Terms and Conditions for 2 Year Warranty

For this warranty to apply the Sales Person must register your product(s) within 14days of purchase

Please read this product terms and conditions carefully as they set out the terms under which Car Audio Centre makes the products available to you ("Product Terms"). You as the customer will transact with Car Audio Centre (the Company).
The 2 year warrantee applies to all products purchase from Car Audio Centre stores and must adhere to the following clauses:

  • The two year warrantee is from the date of purchase and includes the 1 year manufacturer's warrantee.
  • Applies to all products supplied and fitted by Car Audio Centre, all cables and accessories must also be supplied by Car Audio Centre at the same time otherwise your warrantee is void.
  • Excludes all Speakers, Woofers, Cables, Accessories and Bass Boxes.
  • Proof of purchase must be presented at the time of a claim we will only accept your till receipt a credit card statement will not be accepted.
  • Does not cover customer malfunction, malicious damage, tampering or adjusting settings etc.
  • Warrantee is not transferable.
  • Only applies during the original vehicle installation. If items have been remove from original vehicle installed in the 2 year warranty is void.
  • Excludes wear and tear and general use of equipment.
  • Excludes cosmetic damage.
  • Car Audio Centre will charge for removal and installation on any product after the first 12 months warranty from original date of installation.
  • Car audio centre at its discretion can replace, repair or trade in against new products any warranty claim products if beyond economical repair.
  • 12 monthly inspection, you are required to attend a 12 month inspection to have your installation checked over. If this is missed than the 2 year warranty is void.
